1980 m. Pasaulio ralio čempionatas buvo aštuntasis Tarptautinės automobilių federacijos (FIA) rengiamo pasaulio ralio čempionato sezonas. Šį sezoną sudarė 12 etapų. Ralio kalendorius kiek pakito, lyginant su praėjusiais metais – vietoje Kvebeko ralio buvo įtrauktas Argentinos ralis. Tai buvo pirmas kartas pasaulio ralio čempionato istorijoje, kai vienas jo etapų vyko Pietų Amerikos žemyne, ralio Šiaurės Amerikoje, rengto 25 metus, kaina.
Šį sezoną nugalėtoju tapo Walter Röhrl, vairavęs Fiat automobilį. Tuo pačiu lenktynininkas Fiat komandai pelnė trečiąjį ir paskutinį nugalėtojų titulą. Suomis Hannu Mikkola tenkinosi antrąja vieta, vienu tašku aplenkdamas švedą . Gamintojų čempionate užtikrintai laimėjo Fiat, aplenkdama ir Ford komandas. 4 vietą tarp gamintojų užėmė Mercedes Benz; tai geriausias šios komandos rezultatas per visą čempionato istoriją.
Į šio sezono gamintojų čempionatą nebuvo įtraukti Švedijos ir Suomijos raliai.
